FAIRFAX, VA (February 12, 2007) Ric Edelman's just-completed manuscript for his 6th book has been lost and is presumed stolen.

Four years in development and weighing in at 550 double-spaced pages, the manuscript by the best-selling author and syndicated radio talk show host was lost at a FedEx processing facility in Newark, NJ on Tuesday, Feb. 4th, and cannot be found. FedEx says it found an empty box, but has no indication of the whereabouts of the contents. The manuscript was sent by Edelman to his New York based editor at Simon & Schuster. Edelman has plenty of backups, in both electronic and hard copy formats, but wonders whether a bootleg version of the stolen manuscript might soon appear illicitly on the Internet.

Edelman's manuscript of The Lies About Money is the much anticipated sequel to his personal finance classic The Truth About Money, and is Edelman's first book in more than five years. Scheduled for publication this fall, The Lies About Money is a startling awakening to how millions of Americans are mishandling their life savings. Edelman provides an insider's view of the chaos and scandal plaguing today's retail mutual fund industry and offers individual investors a detailed plan on how they can take back control of their investments ? and their financial futures. Edelman is the best-selling author of five books on personal finance including the blockbuster Ordinary People, Extraordinary Wealth.
