FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 17 – Nationally acclaimed financial advisor and bestselling author Ric Edelman is scheduled to make personal appearances in 16 cities nationwide in conjunction with the release of his new book and new PBS television special.
In the book, THE LIES ABOUT MONEY – Achieving Financial Security and True Wealth by Avoiding the Lies Others Tell Us – And the Lies We Tell Ourselves (Oct. 2, Simon & Schuster/Free Press), Edelman reveals how the scandal-ridden retail mutual fund industry’s deceptive business practices are taking advantage of investors and threatening their financial security. He shows consumers how to eliminate these problems quickly and easily, through an interactive guide that leads readers to a specific investment portfolio based on their individual circumstances. Publisher’s Weekly says, “Edelman’s clear writing and helpful advice are sure to win him a satisfied audience.”
Edelman, who is in Research magazine’s Financial Advisor Hall of Fame and was recently named the #2 independent financial advisor in the country by Barron’s, will feature his popular educational seminar on the tour. He’ll reveal the secrets to successful investing and show his audiences how to invest properly, how to handle the money in employer retirement plans, how to save for college and how to boost income in retirement. The tour will also include book-signing events and media appearances.
