Edelman Financial Opens Operations Center in Richmond

RICHMOND, Jan. 15— Edelman Financial Advisors, the Fairfax, Va.-based investment management firm headed by nationally renowned financial advisor and author Ric Edelman, has opened an operations center in Richmond.
The office, located in the Westgate II Building, at 200 Westgate Parkway, Richmond, opened for business this week with an initial staff of 25.
Edelman Financial manages nearly $4 billion for clients nationwide. The firm employs 150 people at locations in Fairfax and Alexandria, Va., and Bethesda, Md., and repeatedly has been named as one of the Washington D.C. region’s “Great Places to Work” by Washingtonian magazine. Employees at Edelman’s new Richmond operations center work in the areas of customer service, new account processing, client relations, operations and technology.
Edelman Financial founder and chairman Ric Edelman said, “The new operations facility is vital to our commitment of delivering the very best advice and service to our clients.” He thanked U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who suggested that the operations center be located in the Richmond area.
“I told Ric that Richmond has a large, talented work force with substantial experience in the financial sector, and that Richmond would be an excellent choice for his firm’s newest location in Virginia,” said Cantor. “We are happy to welcome Edelman Financial to the Richmond area.”

Edelman has been providing financial advice to consumers for more than 20 years.
