Washington, D.C. (June 25, 2007) The Ric Edelman Show has announced the addition of seven new affiliates: Miami (Sat. 1pm-3pm on WIOD), Baltimore (Sat. 11am-1pm on WCBM), Phoenix (Sun. 11am-1pm on KFYI), Indianapolis (Sat.3pm-5pm on WIBC ), Orlando (Sat. 4pm-6pm on WFLA), Portland, OR
(Sat. 7am-8am and Sun. 3pm-5pm KPAM), and Columbus, OH (Sun. 3pm-5pm on WTVN). After just six months, the program is now heard in 11 of the nation's top 20 markets and reaches more than 50% of all Americans.
We're excited about the exceptional response we've received from listeners, Edelman said. It is an honor to help more people learn how to achieve their goals how to buy a home, pay for college, prepare for retirement, care for their parents or grandparents, get out of debt, and enjoy financial security.
For four consecutive years, Barron?s has recognized Edelman as one of America's Top 100 Financial Advisors. His firm, Edelman Financial Services LLC, manages $3.5 billion for consumers nationwide, and is winner of more than 60 awards. A #1 New York Times best-selling author and syndicated columnist, Edelman's sixth book will be published in October by Simon & Schuster.
Each week on the show, Ric uses his 20 years of experience to explain complex financial issues in an entertaining way, answering questions for callers. This is a vital service, as a recent AARP survey shows that a majority of Americans lack even a basic understanding of how to handle their own finances.
Our goal is to help consumers make better financial decisions, Edelman said. It's not just about picking good investments. It is truly understanding how to provide financial security for yourself and your family.
ABC Radio Networks began national syndication of Edelman's award-winning radio program on Jan. 13, 2007. The affiliate list also includes America's leading news/talk radio stations: New York (WABC), Los Angeles (KABC), Chicago (WLS), San Francisco (KSFO), Dallas (WBAP), Houston (KPRC), Detroit (WJR) and the flagship Washington, D.C., station (WMAL), where the program began 15 years ago. Additional stations will be added throughout 2007 and 2008.
